National: Two die on roads on Christmas day

The holiday road toll has climbed to 23, with three deaths so far on Christmas Day.

A 10-month-old girl died when a car she was travelling in crashed at Maryvale west
of Brisbane and three adults were injured.

A 61-year-old man died when his car ran off the road at Maryborough in central Victoria,
and hit a tree.

And a motorist was killed in the Northern Territory's Kakadu National Park when a car
rolled near the town of Jabiru.

So far this holiday period, five people have been killed on the roads in Victoria,
four people in Queensland, three in the Northern Territory and one each in Western Australia
and South Australia.

No road deaths have been recorded in Tasmania or the ACT.
