Pay cut at Acxiom
The 1,500 Downers Grove and Skokie employees of Arkansas-basedAcxiom Corp. received a 5 percent pay cut in a cost-cutting move thatincluded a 20 percent pay cut, or $140,000, for CEO Charles Morgan,who will now earn $705,000 annually. To help soften the blow,employees received an equivalent amount of stock options in thebillion-dollar revenue company. Employees who earn less than $25,000a year will be exempt from the pay cut. Acxiom, which makes customer-management software, closed Thursday at $13.63 a share, far below its52-week high at $45.75.
